Cyril Helnwein.. Myths and Fairytales

Looking at photographers who are inspired by Myths and Fairytales links with the idea of looking at Grand Narratives. A grand narrative is looks upon the idea of myths and allows the viewer to understand a different world. The idea of myths can include legends, folk stories and fairytales.

Grand narratives and myths should make us aware of hypermodern worlds because they dig beneath the surface and understand things that can be communicated through your world. You pick up on symbolism through an imaginary viewing, but always remember what you have seen. They can also represent a real life emotional or physical event, capturing the realism of something but portraying it as a faiytale in order to make something more bareable.
